Development Goals
The AIoT Smart Networking Application Technology Research and Development Center was established in July 2017, actively promoting the development of the AI x IoT industry and building an innovative application ecosystem to enhance the school's readiness and inter-school competitiveness in AI x IoT applications. Through the establishment of this technology research and development platform, the center aims to integrate different industries, such as IC design, semiconductor, hardware manufacturing, industrial computers, system integration, software solutions, facial/voice/image recognition, etc., to actively promote AIoT technology research and development and industrial application scenarios. Through industry-academia cooperation and technology transfer with the center and the industry, utilizing the school's human and equipment resources, the center aims to accelerate the technological upgrade of enterprises and enhance the readiness and competitiveness of the industry in the AIoT field, thus filling the technology gap in the industry.

Core Technology
The research fields and core technologies of the center adopt a dual approach of focusing on both fundamental science and technology development. The fundamental science part focuses on research topics such as heterogeneous network communication protocols, IoT antenna design, and sensing components for interconnection networks. The technology development part focuses on the AIoT smart networking application technology that encompasses three-in-one architecture: artificial intelligence technology, smart networking devices, and smart application platforms.

Center Organization
The center is comprised of three laboratories, Smart Factory+ and Smart Medical+ two industry-academia collaborative research bases, which are responsible for the research and development of AI x IoT technologies and applications. The center has also established the AIoT Alliance for Smart Networking Application Technology Research and Development to connect with relevant industry players, serving as a communication and promotion platform for academic research achievements and industrial applications. Together with the industry, the center strives to introduce AIoT application scenarios. The center is assisted by the Design Innovation and Simulation Laboratory (DISL Lab) of the university in the design of innovative products and mechanisms, making research and development outcomes more product-oriented.
